Feeds

Feeds are how Noyo manages connections with carriers that require EDI file transmissions. Each feed record that contains information about how we generate and transmit files for that connection, such as the schedule and next expected delivery date. Most groups will have a single feed to each carrier. Some groups may have multiple feeds, if the carrier requires the population be split (such as separating dental and vision coverage, or active and COBRA members).

Feed Runs

A feed run is a single, specific instance that the feed has generated and transmitted a file to the carrier. The feed run record contains information unique to that file transmission, such as its delivery date and content. Each feed will have a history of many associated feed runs.

Getting Feeds and Feed Runs

You can reference feed and feed run data to know the status of the group’s connection with the carrier, know what files have been sent and when, and know when files are scheduled to be sent in the future. You can get feed data for both a single feed, and filterable lists of feeds. You can also get feed run data for both a single feed run, and filterable lists of feed runs. Lists of feed runs return results sorted by most recent first.
